Things are hopping at the farm right now. We have
been very busy selling our hanging baskets and
bedding plants. We opened May 1st and it is always a
juggling act to be open while trying to get the
fields ready for planting. We usually try to have
our fields all plowed, tilled and planted by the
middle of May. That is not going to happen this
year. The steady rain throughout this month has made
it difficult to get the fields prepped for planting.
We'll get out there and get part of it done, and
then the rain is back and the fields are too wet to
get out to do the next step. Farming is a occupation
where you have to have faith! It can be challenging
at times to not let the weather get you tied up in
knots.
Our stand is open everyday, so come down to the
farm and pick out some beautiful baskets or plants
for your home. With the economy being the way it is,
they say people will be staying home more, so we
might as well make our homes a pleasant place that
we can enjoy!
Strawberries should be ready around the first of
June, so don't miss out on the beginning of summer
and the best tasting berries around.
Thanks for supporting our farm,
