Weddings at the Farm

The Schilter Barn was built in 1865 and still reflects the majestic beauty of its time.  With huge solid wood beams and original wall siding, this 3,600 square foot structure is a rustic, yet elegant, space to host the most special of occasions.

Our lovely old barn will accommodate intimate parties or large groups for any type of event.  It’s the perfect setting for a rustic, yet elegant, wedding and/or reception. It’s equally popular for an informal country barbeque, barn dance, or family reunion.

Located in the scenic Nisqually Valley on the Thurston and Pierce County border, the Schilter Barn is easily accessible to both the Olympia and Tacoma areas.  We can guarantee you a beautiful, peaceful country setting in this convenient location.  A small kitchen facility is available for use with the rental of the Schilter Barn.  Outside, there is a large grassy picnic area surrounded by fields of growing corn and pumpkins, as well as our well-known Christmas tree forest.

The Schilter Barn features an exquisite cedar plank dance floor that was created out of the original barn boards and a large banquet area for dining. An antique bar, claimed from the Alaskan Yukon Territory, vintage milk cans and butter churns add quaintness and charm to the area.

All Barn reservations include the entire day of function.
Access to The Barn is from 9am-11pm on the day of the event.  (All prices are subject to change. Call for most current price schedule.)
